An alumnus of IIT Bombay, he has been serving as an officer in the Indian Forest Service for the past 20 years. Currently, he holds the position of Director at the Jal Jeevan Mission.
An IIT & IIM alumnus with over 10 years of teaching experience, he is currently an Associate Professor at IIM Calcutta. He has also worked as an Investment Banker before shifting to teaching field.
